Learning Abilities

"Y.H. was not a good athlete. He was always the last in running races. He could not perform gymnastics manoeuvres. He was not able to jump on his toes. Since he kicked the ground with his entire foot, he was not able to jump so many times, only twenty or thirty time at most. When he practised using images, a miracle happened. He was able to jump 746 times in a contest and won second place in his class. When he was in fourth grade, he was extremely disappointed to be told by his teacher that his grade was fourth from the bottom. Since the third semester of the fifth grade, when he was able to use imaging freely, his grades improved drastically. He received top marks for music, art, gym, home economics, science and social studies. In Japanese subjects, he received top marks except for calligraphy, and math marks were in the middle because he only wrote down answers. All the answers were 100 percent correct. He was able to image all the answers but he omitted the formulas used to arrive at the answers. He had never studied and started bringing home marks of 100 on every test."

Multiple Languages

"He is able to communicate in three languages, using the corresponding language to the person speaking to him. He is also able to translate. For example, when his father speaks to him in Chinese, he is able to translate and tell mother in English. When mother speaks in English, he is able to tell the maid in Malay and vice versa. He recognises a fourth language (Cantonese) though he cannot speak it."

Perception & Intuition

I was imaging some colours and shapes and my daughter was to guess what they were. I wanted to convey the colour green but I couldn't produce an image of green. So I decided to imagine a square card that was painted green. My daughter said that I had imagined green. "But," she said hesitantly, "It's square!." Next, I tried to send a message of shapes by ESP. Since I couldn't make an image of a star shape, I sent the shape of the Star of David, which contains two triangles to form a star. My daughter answered, "it's a star."

"Right. You're right."

"But Mommy. It's not a regular star. It looks like a star that is made up of two triangles." I was convinced that she could see exactly what I sent via ESP. When I can't make up a good image, she answers laughing, "It's something messy."

Computer-like Maths Ability

We practised the Shichida methodology when my son was two months old. Since he could not sit up by himself yet, I showed the cards to him while he was lying on his back. I was not sure if he understood what I was doing with him, but I kept on showing the dots? as one of our games. When he was four months old, I showed him two cards at a time, one with 37 dots and one with 38 dots, and asked him which one had 37. To my amazement, he responded by glancing at the correct answer. Every time I tested him, he gave me the right answer. Later when he was six months old, I showed him cards with the numbers fifty-one and fifty-two and asked which one had fifty-two. He pointed to the right card without hesitation.

The other day I showed him five cards with simple equations like 24+17=41, 31+5=36, and 27+52=79, then tested him by showing the card of 48+29 and the cards with 77 and 78 and asked which one is the answer. He tapped the card of the right answer. Then I showed him cards of subtraction problems and tested him. He gave me a correct answer. I was totally amazed. Seeing my own son master addition and subtraction in matter of seconds, I felt as if I were watching a magic trick.

I was surprised to find that my daughter can solve subtraction problems. But I have noticed that when I asked her orally, for example, "What is x plus y?" she answers incorrectly. However, when I write the formulas for her, she writes the correct answers. It is the same thing with subtraction. Also she can solve two digit plus two digit problems quicker than me! Orally, she can't solve anything.

Now, she can solve addition problems of three digits and three digits. I don't know how she does it, but I am very proud of her. My husband was so surprised to see that she calculates from the highest place value, not from the lowest. The instructor showed me a drill paper on which a boy calculated the multiplication of three digits by three digits from the left to the right. She then said to me, "All efforts you make will be rewarded." I believed her words, and our efforts were rewarded.

We've started on a little addition : when I ask "What is 38+18?", our daughter grins all over and picks out the '56' card. This is only the fourth day we've worked on addition, probably a total of less than fifteen minutes. I was so pleased. I really praised her. My husband tried it with her too, and the baby got all the answers right. I was hoping for a child who would excel beyond her parents, but never dreamed she would do so at only six months. From the bottom of our hearts, we are truly grateful to you for your help.

Artistic Ability

"G. developed his imaging capability through right brain education when he was in 7th grade. He entered his clay figure into an art competition hosted by a local TV station. His work was selected for the Special Award among 750 entries. He said, "I made the figure just the way I saw as an image". His schoolteacher was surprised by the change G. showed. "Unlike the old G., the present G. exhibits superior memory capability and comprehension and he absorbs things amazingly. In addition, he has great creativity".

Perfect Pitch

"My daughter was a micro premature baby with the birth weight of 1200 grams. She was kept in an incubator for three and a half months. When she was discharged from the hospital, her doctors were unsure that she could grow normally. Until three years of age, her mental and physical development was very much delayed.

Thanks to appropriate early education, she acquired perfect pitch by the time she was three years eight months old. Now, she is in fifth grade. She can play many instruments including piano, violin, electronic organ, koto or Japanese harp, and drums. She participates in many music competitions at the prefectural and national level. She has received a great number of prizes.

My daughter does not practice half as much as some of the other children because her right brain is so developed. She can play any piece of music that she has just listened to for the first time. She can master a compulsory piece for a competition in two days.

My daughter is now taken up with composition. She has composed a surprisingly large number of pieces and plays them for us. When I ask how she composes a piece, she says, " The music comes into my head naturally. I just copy it onto paper."

"Sheri was a primary one student in my class. Due to the financial status of her family, she could not afford to buy a piano and could only practice on a keyboard. I used the Shichida Pitch Mastery method on Sheri. One day she expressed her desire to participate in a piano competition. My reaction, initially, was one of worry as the keyboard's keys are lighter and very different from a piano's. Sheri did not own a piano at home. The only contact she had with a piano was once a week when she attended the lesson. Thus it was not easy for her to get a ranking in the competition. In order to help Sheri overcome the situation, I used 15 minutes of her weekly lesson to practice Imaging Method." Two months later, Sheri received a special prize for the primary one group. The judges' comments were "Very accurate and powerful playing." This was the first time I saw someone being awarded a prize by just practising on the keyboard."

Character Development

"She is very happy and confident. She went to a new school without any fear although she didn't know anyone. She is ready to make friends even though some of them weren't too willing to respond. First day of school, she wanted to go on stage to perform and teachers let her do that in the second week. She had a great time, taking centre stage with another class, even though it (the class) was asked to do it the last minute."

"Amongst a group of children between 4 to 6 years, I noticed that Rachel's attention and responsiveness is much faster than them. This was very evident when she started her 1st Junior Music Course. I can see that she is very sociable and is always the first one to respond to the teacher's questions and instructions."

Parent-Child Communication

"I had a high possibility of miscarrying in the delivery of Reika, and my doctor had been urging me to give up the pregnancy. However my husband would not give up, and always talked to the foetus saying, "Be strong and see the light," while placing his hand on my stomach. Our wishes were realized and Reika was born healthy. After a few years, when she had begun to talk, she came around me while I was cooking in the kitchen and repeatedly said, "I always talked with Daddy when I was in Mommy's stomach." I said, "Oh, yes" but paid no special attention. But now, I understand that she was talking about her foetal memories.

Speed Reading

Y.Y. was able to finish reading 4-5 books in a day after he had mastered speed reading. Thus, he goes to the school library almost everyday to borrow about 10 books home. His teachers and classmates who saw him reading in the school library were amazed at his speed. Those who did not understand simply thought that the boy was just flipping through the pages and not really reading the book. However, the boy did not become conceited or boastful because of his ability. In his classes, he would behave like other children and read at the speed that his classmates were at. The boy is an understanding child, thus he gets along very well with his classmates, and he's also one of the leaders in the class.

"To improve my daughter's concentration levels when studying, I tried many methods on her, including taking deep breaths, imaging and suggestions but the results were not very good. Until I got to know this speed reading method by Prof Shichida. Now my daughter can remember forty flashcards at a time. When I asked her how she does it, she's not sure herself. However, as an observer I could see clearly that since she started right brain development and imaging method, her memory power has improved by leaps and bounds. Even when reading short stories, she can finish reading them in 30 seconds and able to remember them so well she could write them out with no problem at all".
Mother of A, Japan

A primary 3 child went through the right brain development speed reading and she had nearly finished reading all the books in the library near their home. Therefore this mother had to travel to the central library to borrow books for her child. However her daughter was reading so fast that she could read an average of 20 books per week. The mother, who was busy borrowing books for her child, started to suspect if she had readily absorbed the contents of the books. Thus, this mother decided to choose at random and question her daughter about the contents of the book she had read. She asked her what the book was about. To her surprise, her daughter was able to describe the contents accurately every time she was questioned.

Overcoming Illness

Mr N's sixty year old father went into a deep coma after an accident. He underwent a number of brain surgeries but there was no change in his condition. Mr N finally approached Prof Shichida and asked if there was a way to wake his father up from the coma. Prof Shichida told Mr N, "Even if certain parts of the brain are unconscious, part of the brain that controls life is still conscious. Therefore if we can send messages to this part of the brain it will begin to cause brain activity according to the messages". Prof Shichida taught him the method. In addition, the Professor told Mr N to say these words to his father while gently massaging the patient's body, or play some tapes that can attract the waves of the brain. After a week, Prof Shichida received a call from Mr N. He said that his father has woken up from his coma and had regained some feelings in his hands and legs. Using Prof Shichida's method for 24hours, the result was miraculous. The doctor intended to report this case to the Medical Research Department.

Physical Training

Prof Shichida was once approached by a teacher in charge of his school's baseball team. The teacher wanted to the professor to teach him the right brain training method so that his team could benefit from it and perform better. Prof Shichida taught the teacher his method and recently he received a letter from the teacher. He said "Thank you for teaching me the right brain method. When I got back to school, I immediately imparted it to the students. After practising very hard, our team came in third whereas before we had always failed to make it pass the qualifying round. Ten of my players even won awards for being the best players. Now my students even use The Shichida Method in their studies. As a result, they are more passionate about their studies."

Strengthening Relationships

A 50 year old manager had attended Prof Shichida's seminar on right brain development. He approached the professor and told him that the case the professor had mentioned, seemed to have happened to his family member. He told the professor that he would check out the details and come back to him the next day. The next day he approached the professor and thanked him saying that he was now able to understand that his wife uses her right brain to remember things. That discovery had resolved their disputes over these years. This manager's wife uses her right brain to remember things. Thus she was able to recall her memories with clear and concise images. Whenever she recalled these memories, she would ask her husband if he could also remember them. The manager who was used to using his left brain, could not remember so much and his standard reply was that it had happened twenty years ago. Thus he could not remember. His wife would then accuse him of lying. If she could remember, then he should be able to remember as well. Thus they would be at loggerheads with each other. That day after attending the seminar, he asked his wife whether her brain would show images of things that she recalls. She replied in the affirmative and asked him "Isn't everyone like me?" The manager told her that he had no such images. They then realised that their past disputes were a waste of time. From that day onwards they had a better understanding of each other.

Sports Excellence

"All the children in my kindergarten can do a complicated upward flip on the exercise bars. When I told this to a teacher at another nursery school, she said I was joking and refused to believe me. This flip is taught in about third grade in elementary school physical education classes, but about fifty percent of the children can't do it. Even in sixth grade, thirty to forty percent of the children can't do it. No one will believe me when I tell them that all of our nursery children can do this. That child over there who can't do it just recently switched to our nursery school: everyone else can".
Ms Shimizu, Takaba Nursery School

"She is able to bounce a real basketball continuously from 150 times to 250times within a week".
